I love this thing. One Touch Backup — OTB There is one more feature that adds to this adapters versatility, that is the one-touch backup that I think is pretty unique from something so small.
It does take some additional software to set up which can either be installed from the mini-CD included or downloaded from Alxum or directly from their product page also at the link HERE. To set up the one-touch backup or OTB, install the software and follow these instructions: 1. From the main OTB, the screen selects the drive you want to copy the data to, the target. Then select your SATA hard drive as the first drive to boot from it. For the old IDE disk, you can delete all the data on it and use it as a storage device, or you can wipe the disk and then sell it or destroy it.

I am finding that when I reboot, the system no longer recognizes the drive. To get it to work, I have to run setup and remove the drive from the setup. Then, while the computer is on, plug it in and rerun setup indicating the drive is connected.
When I reboot, I often lose the drive and get a message indicating that I need to run setup. If I run setup without first unplugging the drive and replugging it in after rebooting, it fails. Any thoughts on what's creating this problem? I was told by tech support I shoudn't need to run setup, it should be plug and play.
